Correspondence Reveal the late financier and Steve Bannon Ties

In late 2018, Steve Bannon, previously a top aide to Donald Trump, was in the UK to deliver a address at the prestigious Oxford Union.

The speech was interrupted by numerous protesters, and Bannon, scheduled to board a flight that night, told Jeffrey Epstein in an email: "Protesters delayed my talk don't think I can catch the flight we are heading to heathrow".

Epstein responded: "There. Is a Gulf Air departing at 9:50 with a layover in Bahrain". Bannon answered: "You are an excellent assistant".

These exchanges were released on this week alongside more than 20,000 documents from the estate of Epstein, the late convicted sex offender.

The release by the Congressional committee contains an text conversation where Bannon's name is redacted. Media outlets has been able to establish his involvement by matching the dates, events, and locations referenced.

For example, Epstein talks about chartering a plane from the UK for the redacted user in the messages, and commends their "Oxford speech". Bannon took part in the News Xchange conference on 14 November, and gave the talk at the Oxford Union on November 16.

Bannon, who is not accused of any misconduct, declined to comment on the request for comment.

'I'll make sure you're well looked after'

Bannon was one of Trump's closest advisers in the run up to the 2016 election and during the initial phase of his presidency, but resigned from the administration in August 2017.

He has admitted he was making a documentary about Epstein prior to his death and reportedly has approximately 15 hours of footage. In a live taping of his show earlier this year, he said: "We're going to release the series, the five-part series, next year - early next year."

But the recently disclosed documents suggest Bannon's relationship with Epstein went further than being his biographer, with the disgraced financier occasionally appearing to serve like a personal assistant.

A few days prior to the exchange in which Epstein appeared to have arranged a private plane for Bannon, Epstein said: "how does it feel to have the highest-paid booking agent in the world ".

Bannon expressed gratitude: "You are quite capable assistant", to which Epstein replied "Massages. Excluded".

Discussing a visit to "Abu Dhabi" in another message, Epstein told Bannon: "I will ensure you are well looked after."

British Affairs Mentioned in Exchanges

The released messages also reveal Bannon and Epstein discussing British political matters in 2018.

On the same day his speech at the Oxford, Bannon texted Epstein: "I became involved in the Brexit issue this day with Nigel, Johnson and Rees Mogg."

Then, in what seems like a allusion to the UK prime minister, the struggling UK prime minister at the period, he added: "They are trying to move on. may today / tomorrow…"

Epstein suggested Bannon: "I think staying as long as you can in the UK. Best-- so others get the dedication of your follow-up."

Soon after, Epstein inquired: "Will Theresa May survive". Bannon replied: "It seems unlikely BUT the guys over here have no balls" and added "Johnson ; Michael Gove; Rees Mogg; David Davis - somebody has to step up".

May was finally removed in 2019 after withstanding multiple attempts of lack of support in December 2018.

A spokesman for Reform UK informed the BBC: "Farage has not been in a gathering with Bannon, Jacob Rees Mogg and Boris Johnson." And there is nothing to suggest such a meeting took place.

The US House of Representatives will decide next week on whether the justice department should make public all its records concerning its probe into Epstein, who passed away in prison in that year.

Interest in Epstein's associations with powerful figures was renewed this week after the release of over 20,000 pages from his estate.

A portion of those referenced the former president, who has consistently rejected any impropriety. The president was a acquaintance of Epstein's for years, but claims they parted ways in the 2000s, two years before Epstein was first arrested.
