The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Has Passed Away in a California Vehicle Accident
Vince Zampella, who helped create the globally famous first-person shooter Call of Duty, has tragically died in a car accident in California aged 55.
His passing was verified by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, a game studio that he helped create.
The celebrated video game developer died after his automobile collided and burst into flames on a freeway in LA on Sunday morning, US media outlets report.
"This is a heartbreaking loss, and our deepest sympathies go to Vince's family, his loved ones, and everyone impacted by his legacy," an official with Electronic Arts commented.
