The United Kingdom and France to Deploy Troops to the Country in the event that a Ceasefire Accord is Agreed

The London and Paris have signed a statement of purpose concerning the stationing of armed personnel in Ukraine should a peace agreement be struck with Russia, the UK Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer, has announced.

After negotiations with allied nations in the French capital, he indicated that the two nations would "create defense centers throughout Ukraine and construct fortified facilities for arms and equipment" to discourage any potential attack.

The allied nations also proposed that the US would play the primary role in verifying a ceasefire.

Moscow has consistently warned that any external forces in Ukraine would be considered a "valid objective", but has not yet commented on this latest announcement.
