In a shared declaration, the heads of state of the UK, France, and Germany emphasized that this unified step would increase strain on Moscow's head Vladimir Putin and compel Russia to participate in talks.

They clarified that the initiative would be executed in tight collaboration with the US.

United Kingdom restrictions have blocked more than £25bn of Russian funds since the Russian government launched its full-scale invasion against the Ukrainian nation in 2022.
